Focuslight Announces BeamRazor™ LiDAR Line laser Transmitter Module LE02 Pro

Focuslight has recently released a new upgraded member LE02 Pro to BeamRazor™series to generate a line shaped laser beam with short pulsed high peak power up to 700W, and a small divergence on narrow side and a customized FOV with high uniformity on long side. The laser module serves as laser source of a beam steering LiDAR system and will has its line beam scanned across desired entire FOV by a rotating mirror or MEMS.

Focuslight has recently released a new upgraded member LE02 Pro of the BeamRazor™series to generate a line shaped laser beam with short pulsed high peak power up to 700W. Compared with last version LE02, the new module has an extensively optimized design for short pulse, heat dissipation, and reliability. The module size has been reduced by 20%, while power is increased by 25%, and the laser pulse width is shortened by 15%. LE02 Pro could maintain high peak power at a wider operating frequency. (~700W@10kHz~75kHz,pulse width<5ns).


 


LE02 Pro utilizes Focuslight’s unique automotive-grade collimation lens and glass homogenizer, can achieve:


1.  <0.15°@FW1/e2 fast axis collimation in horizontal direction.


2.  11° or 25°@FWHM slow axis flat-top profile in vertical direction (customized FOV is possible)


3.  very uniform profile with uniformity >85%


 


BeamRazor™ LE02 Pro line laser transmitter provides leading performance in the LiDAR Tx market, relatively higher maturity and manufacturability and relatively low cost for mass production. Combined with rotating mirror or MEMS for beam steering, and APD or SPAD/SiPM array for signal receiving, LE02 Pro could be used as an ideal line laser solution for hybrid LiDAR to fulfill ultra-high line density, high resolution and long range detection, for automotive-grade mass production.


 


The module is now in the engineering prototype stage and samples are available for customers.


 


In addition, Focuslight can provide fast response service for customers. Focuslight's experience in high power chip packaging and testing gives customers more application support.
