Missions
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Microtechnology Engineer to join our engineering team in the development of advanced micro optical products. This role requires hands-on experience with microfabrication techniques, precision assembly, and optical system integration at the micro-scale. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, prototype, and optimize micro optical components and devices for applications in imaging, sensing, telecommunications, or biomedical fields.
In more detail the Microtechnology/ R&D Engineer should:
- Design and develop micro-scale optical components and systems, including lenses, microprisms, micro structured surfaces and other custom specific microstructures.
- Lead or support microfabrication processes such as lithography, etching, bonding, thin film deposition, and laser micromachining.
- Perform precision alignment and assembly of optical and micro-mechanical components using state-of-the-art tools (e.g., cleanroom, mask aligners, bonding stations).
- Conduct experimental validation and perform analysis using interferometry, microscopy, and spectrometry techniques. Produce metrology data.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and optical engineers to integrate micro optical modules into larger systems.
- Drive design iterations and process improvements to enhance performance, yield, and manufacturability.
- Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and reports for internal and customer-facing deliverables.
- Stay current with emerging microtechnology trends and innovations in the optics industry.
