Overview of Responsibilities:
1.Strategic:
- Develop and execute comprehensive IT application roadmaps that align with organizational objectives and overarching IT strategy.
- Proactively evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., AI, low-code platforms, automation tools) to drive innovation and enhance operational efficiency.
- Adapt to evolving business needs by following instructions, directives, and additional tasks assigned by the leaders and the CIO, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance the value delivered by IT applications.
2.Project & Team Management:
- Manage end-to-end software development life cycle for critical applications using Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies.
- Lead cross-functional teams (developers, analysts, and vendors) to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with external vendors for system integrations and third-party tools.
3.SAP SD module implementation:
- Leading SAP SD module rollout for overseas plants, incl. requirement analysis, solution design, system configuration and testing, user training, data migration and go-live support.
- With proficient SAP SD knowledge and experience, provide comprehensive solutions for clients, including in the fields of pre-sales, order to cash, after-sales. Provide solution for sales of both make to stock and make to order products, project sales.
- Provide interface solution with integrated systems (e.g. CRM) and business partners’ system(e.g. Customer EDI/WebEDI, Custom system, Forwarders’ system, etc.).
4.System Optimization:
- Oversee migration of legacy systems to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Aliyun).
- Implement DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines) to enhance deployment efficiency.
- Ensure high availability and performance of critical applications.
5.Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with business units (Finance, HR, Operations) to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide training and support to end-users.
Requirements:
1.Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in application management/leadership roles.
- 7+ years SAP SD implementation experience, MM module experience is preferred.
- Full cycle overseas project experience.
- Proven track record in managing ERP/CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft dynamic).
2.Language:
- Fluent oral and written English and Chinese.
3.Technical Skills:
- Expertise in SDLC, DevOps, and cloud-native architectures.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and databases (SQL, NoSQL).
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, Jira, ServiceNow, and monitoring tools (New Relic, Datadog).
4.Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Be adaptable to overseas business trips and working environments, and have good multi-cultural communication abilities.
5.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a MNC and in photonics industry.
- Knowledge of microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Contributions to open-source projects or tech community leadership.
