Diffuser

image002.png

In no time at all, LIDAR sensors have established themselves as a key technology for automated processes, especially when it comes to fully automated autonomous driving. Thanks to its zero hot spot beam shaping, the new wide-angle diffuser from LIMO delivers consistent performance, even in extreme operating temperatures, while its expansive illumination area enables full coverage of the 360° surrounding view with just four LiDAR systems for reliable driving safety.

Focuslight’s wide-angle homogenizing diffusers are suitable for various types of light sources such as collimated light, diverging light or light source array, and have the ability to disperse laser light in one direction up to a full illumination angle as large as 150°. When combined with a second diffuser, the light can be shaped at a rectangular field with a steep edge slope and a user-defined FOV, for example 120° x 25°.

FocusFlux - LiDAR AL01

image003.png

Focuslight AL01 series LiDAR laser module is originally designed and qualified for Flash LiDAR for its high peak power, but it can also be tailored to serve other LiDAR technology. A novel and compact sized laser module, Focuslight AL01 features a 1.5mJ 3ns laser pulses around 1064nm enabled by industrial laser workhorse Q-switch technology. With its built-in two elements advanced glass diffusers, it generates various FOV – 125x25 or 60x45 as standard options and can be customized per request – as needed by Flash LiDAR system approach. Focuslight AL01 is designed with special materials and assembling process in order to meet automotive grade reliability, production and quality requirement. It is able to lase as usual under high temperature (+80C) and low temperature (-40C) as defined and required by automotive standard.

905nm LiDAR Transmitter Module

The LiDAR transmitter module developed by Focuslight, integrates a 905nm pulsed diode nanostack laser, a PCB driver, as well as beam shaping optics. This transmitter module gives output power of 400W or 800W, short pulse widths of around 5ns, and repetition frequency around 100kHz, which enable a longer detection range in the application, better resolution and eye safe for LiDAR system. The output beam profile from this transmitter module is “line beam” with fast axis divergence as small as 0.1deg, and slow axis divergence of around 30deg, which is aiming for the application of 1D scanning technical approach, such as MEMS LiDAR, with superior angular resolution and large vertical FOV angles. Further customization, such as adding build-in power board, different pulse width, frequency, output beam divergences, as well as hermetical sealing, etc. are available upon request.

DMCC

DMCC.png

DMCC is a newly developed Micro-Channel Cooled bar-based diode laser developed by Focuslight Technologies. It is AuSn solder bonded, and a CW output power of 200W per bar can be achieved with a low SMILE of<1.5 µm.

Thanks to the hard solder packaging, DMCC can be used at high power output, while increasing the lifetime to more than 20,000 hours. Thanks to a special package structure, under the condition of hard solder packaging, the SMILE is strictly controlled within 1.5 µm, which is more conducive to the direct application of the high-power diode lasers. At present, the DMCC has been fully adopted in our DLight series laser cladding systems and Activation Line IR systems, providing higher reliability and beam uniformity.

Special Talks

Our technical staffs are invited to share the latest achievements of Focuslight Technologies in diode lasers and laser optics during the exhibition. The schedule is as follows:
