Focuslight Releases Second Generation Laser Head for Material Surface Processing

With continuous improvement of laser technology, high power diode laser has shown significant technical advantages on cladding, repairing, alloying, heat treatment (quenching, annealing) of metal materials, for which the laser technology has got more and more applications and attentions. Comparing with the traditional lamp pumped YAG solid state laser and CO2 laser, diode laser has the advantage of higher processing efficiency, smaller volume, lighter weight (<20kg), and higher photoelectric conversion efficiency (~50%). Recently, Focuslight has launched second generation high power long working distance diode laser head for material surface processing. The center wavelength of the new released product is 976nm; the working distance is 300mm and its output power can reach up to 5000W. Besides, it can output millimeter level rectangular or square spot, and the output spot energy is almost flat-topped. The new released laser head also has the following features: Ø300mm long working distance greatly improves the reliability and application range of the laser head, and reduces the frequency of changing protection window, which helps to reduce the use-cost. ØUser-friendly output protection and control system make the laser head more robust and convenient. ØIntegrated cooling system makes the whole system more compact; ØAutomatic purification function of the cooling system reduces the frequency of changing deionized water; ØReliable water and electricity connectors allow long-term safe and stable operation of the laser head.
