Job Responsibilities

1. Process Quality Control

1.1 Establish and maintain process quality control plans, inspection standards, work instructions, quality records, and reaction plans in accordance with the quality management system and applicable ISO requirements;

1.2 Monitor production process quality, including incoming-to-process interfaces, in-process inspection, final inspection, process parameters, yield, defects, and product traceability;

1.3 Apply SPC, control charts, process capability analysis, MSA, sampling methods, and other quality tools to identify abnormal trends and prevent quality escapes;

1.4 Manage non-conforming products, including identification, isolation, review, disposition, rework verification, and closure of corrective actions;

1.5 Conduct routine process audits, product audits, and layered quality checks; follow up findings and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions;

1.6 Support new product introduction, process qualification, first article inspection, change control, and transfer to mass production;

2. Customer Quality Management

2.1 Serve as the quality contact for customer quality issues and ensure timely, accurate, and professional communication;

2.2 Lead customer complaint handling, containment actions, internal investigation, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and effectiveness verification;

2.3 Prepare and submit 8D reports, corrective action reports, failure analysis summaries, and other customer-required quality documentation within agreed timelines;

2.4 Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Production, Process Engineering, Equipment, R&D, Supply Chain, and Logistics, to investigate customer complaints and prevent recurrence;

2.5 Track customer quality performance, complaint trends, returns, escapes, and recurring issues; initiate improvement actions based on risk and data;

2.6 Support customer audits, customer visits, quality reviews, and follow-up actions related to product and process quality;

3. Quality Improvement and System Compliance

3.1 Analyze quality data, defect Pareto, yield loss, customer complaints, and process capability to identify improvement priorities;

3.2 Lead or support problem-solving using 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and other quality tools;

3.3 Work with Production and Engineering teams to improve process controls, inspection methods, product quality, and operational discipline;

3.4 Maintain quality documentation and records to ensure compliance with document control, change control, traceability, calibration, and retention requirements;

3.5 Support internal audits, external certification audits, management reviews, and closure of audit findings;

3.6 Provide quality training and guidance to inspectors, technicians, operators, and relevant functions to improve inspection consistency and quality awareness;

Qualifications & Requirements 

Basic Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Optics, or a related field;

Work Experience

  1. Minimum 3 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing. Experience in both production process quality control and customer quality management is preferred, especially in optics, semiconductor, electronics, automotive, or other precision manufacturing industries;

Knowledge and Skills

  1. Knowledge: ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management system requirements; process quality control; non-conforming product control; customer complaint management; audit and document control requirements;
  2. Skills: Proficient in 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC, MSA, control plans, process capability analysis, RCA, CAPA, data analysis, and quality reporting. Strong written English and cross-functional communication skills are required;
